What is RSS?
The acronym "RSS" stands for Rich Site Summary. RSS is
used to generate data feeds. Sites can harvest each other's
RSS feeds to create syndicates of freshly-updated content.
The format of RSS is XML. There are 0.91, 0.92, 1.0 and 2.0 editions.
MetroData RSS feeds currently use 0.92 for backwards compatibility,
but we may upgrade to 2.0 in the near future.
